IndianOil-Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL) is a joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Adani Gas Limited, formed with an objective of developing natural gas distribution network across various cities across India to provide safe, convenient, reliable and environment friendly fuel (Natural Gas) to customers in industrial, commercial, domestic and transport sectors. Currently IOAGPL has secured authorization from Petroleum and natural Gas regulatory board (PNGRB) to setup city Gas distribution(CGD) network in totally in 9 cities of India namely Udham Singh Nagar, Allahabad, Chandigarh, Panipat, Bulandsheher, Ernakulam, Daman, Dharwad and South Goa.
PNGRB granted authorization to IOAGPL for setting up CGD network in Dharwad Geographical Area(GA) on 14th -Septemcer-2015 and the targets for five years as per the PNGRB authorization is as mentioned below.
IOAGPL has established its office and stockyard in the early 2016 in Dharwad district. The actual pipeline work was started in February-2017 after getting the permission from respective competent authorities such as Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation(HDMC) for laying gas pipeline.
IOAGPL is hopeful of connecting Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connection to the residents of Hubballi-Dharwad in the first quarter of financial year 2018-19.
IOAGPL is also hopeful of commissioning five Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in Dharwad GA to cater the laod of CNG for vehicles. The process of getting permission from competent authorities for establishing CNG station is in progress.
